Questions we get every week
How much does sliding door repair cost?
It depends on what failed. A roller replacement and track tune-up is a modest fixed-price job; glass replacement and full track replacement cost more. We give you a firm price on site before starting, and the estimate itself is free.
Should I repair or replace my sliding door?
Repair, in most cases. If the frame is square and the glass is sound, replacing rollers, track, and seals restores the door for a fraction of replacement cost. Replacement makes sense when the frame is corroded or racked, or when you're upgrading for energy efficiency. We'll tell you which situation you're in.
How long does a repair take?
Most roller and track jobs run one to three hours. Glass and custom screen work may require a return visit once the material is cut to size.
Do you repair the door or just the screen?
Both, and separately if you like. Screen doors are one of our most-requested services.
My door came off the track. Is that serious?
Usually it means the rollers have collapsed or the track is damaged. Don't force it back on — the glass panel is heavy and forcing it can chip the track or crack the pane. Call us.
Do you work on windows too?
Yes. Glass replacement, screens, cranks, balances, and reseal work on most residential window types.

How do I keep my door working after the repair?
Vacuum the track every few months — grit is what kills rollers here — and use a dry silicone lubricant, never an oil-based spray, which attracts dust.
